“March for Our Lives” Leads to Week of Insanity

Family 1st Defense

Regardless of where you think you stand on guns, we encourage you to read the post below by the NRA-ILA. It summarizes some of the notable statements made by “March for Our Lives” activists and lauded by the media — statements that prove responsible 2A supporters are not a paranoid bunch of right-wing fanatics.

The knee-jerk reaction to “ban guns” or “repeal the 2A” in response to the Parkland school shooting reveals an irresponsible lack of understanding about our Constitution and the underlying intent of the 2nd Amendment.

Unfortunately, the students and adults shouting these extreme slogans and waving their signs have no concept of something called a “police state.” The 2nd Amendment is not just about giving citizens the right to defend themselves from burglars and rapists; it is also the ultimate check and balance to provide us the means to resist an over-reaching, authoritarian government. Simply put, the 2A was originally intended to make the government FEAR the public. “Ridiculous” you say? “Authoritarian rule would never happen here?” Talk to the descendants of slaves, or survivors of the Jewish Holocaust and Cuban Revolution. See what they have to say.

Isn’t it interesting that gun sales among Democrats spiked after the election of Donald Trump amidst accusations of Russian collusion, just as they did among Republicans as a response to the Obama administration’s alleged abuse of the IRS, NSA, and CIA to target political opponents? That’s the point! In both cases, concerned citizens were exercising their constitutional right to keep and bear arms against potential threats.

As I’ve said repeatedly, the 2A does NOT discriminate. It protects all of us, regardless of our political affiliation. Think very carefully before committing yourself to the idea of banning guns, or giving your government “an inch to take a mile.”

NRA-ILA | So They’re Not Coming for Our Guns, Eh? We call BS.

In the wake of the terrible crimes in Parkland, Florida, gun control activists and progressive social justice warriors have found their scapegoats in the National Rifle Association and its five million members. And as they always do when they feel emboldened, they are revealing the true agenda they usually try to downplay to the American public in less emotionally-charged times.
